Following a meeting between Liberal Democrat Councillors Lesley Rollings and Mick Tinker with Stagecoach East Midlands and Lincolnshire County Council a bus service has returned to Morton.

Cllr Rollings says " Because this involves re-jigging some of the school services and re-negotiating contracts with other companies, the 'permanent' changes to the service will come into force in September. In the meantime, Stagecoach have agreed to put back the service along Walkerith Road between 9.15am and approx. 3pm which will mean most of our residents will be able to get in and out of town and to the hospital and doctor's surgery.

" Cllr Rollings has thanked Dave Skepper, Commercial Director of Stagecoach East Midlands for coming up with a creative solution without which the restoration of buses to Morton would not be possible."
