Lesley Rollings Parliamentary candidate

The Gainsborough Constituency Executive is pleased to announce that Lesley Rollings is to be the Liberal Democrat Candidate for General Election on December 12th.

Neil Taylor, Chairman, says, ' Lesley is an experienced District Councillor who has worked on the Town, District and County Councils - she has an in depth knowledge of the local area and a passion for seeing the constituency improve. Over recent years I have been really impressed at the way Lesley has worked with residents - getting key agencies and organisations round the table to tackle complex problems. I am confident that as our future MP she will work tirelessly to ensure that our Constituency becomes a better place to live for all it's residents. I know that she is passionate about putting this part of rural Lincolnshire on the map and making it somewhere that people want to live, work and visit. We need an MP who really fights to get the best for our area. Lesley is that person."

Lesley Rollings has lived in the area for nearly 30 years. She is a former teacher who now works for the National STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) programme. Her work is with businesses and schools and ensures that she has a really good understanding of the challenges faced by teachers and young people attending schools in Lincolnshire.

'Bringing up three children in the County has given me first hand experience and an understanding of the challenges families face. There is so much that could be done to make things better for young people as they are growing up. We want Lincolnshire to become a place where young people have great work opportunities and we want it to be a place where families can enjoy living safely and enjoy a life that is full of interesting and exciting activity. This requires much needed input from local councils - something sadly missing at the moment.
