We are happy to annouce that our candidate for the Gainsborough Town Council election (Gainsborough Hill ward) is Sean Brennan.

Sean Brennan (Gainsborough Liberal Democrats)

Sean is 35 years old and he has lived in Gainsborough for 30 years.

He currently works for Acis, a local housing company. He was previously a local government manager for 11 years.

Sean left school at 16 as finances dictated that he needed to work straight away. He therefore studied at night to do A Levels self-funded and then juggled work with university. He has two degrees.

Sean has always been keen on helping the local community. He was formerly a Trustee at Citizens Advice Bureau Lindsey based in Gainsborough and he's also a big supporter of Gainsborough Adventure Playground (GAPA). He has always lobbied for more funding for them.

Sean has worked with several charities in Lincolnshire and Humberside over the past 12 years. He's been recently appointed a director for a social enterprise helping young people in Gainsborough, Think2Speak.

On a personal level, Sean is married and has one stepdaughter. He was born and raised in the ward, educated locally and his family all live locally. In his spare time, he trains in strength athletics and he has competed in strongman on off for several years, although he thinks he's not too good at it these days!

We believe that Sean will be a great addition to our team and the town council. So don't forget to vote on Thursday 19 March (polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm).

Key dates and deadlines can be found on West Lindsey District Council website.
