Roads and Speeding
Across our district, residents constantly complain about speeding traffic. I believe that people should have a say on Speed Limits in their villages.
People want elderly residents to feel safer crossing roads and children to be safer cycling to school. During this pandemic and going forward it is really important that people can get out to go for a walk, SAFELY. People are sitting for longer and many are exercising less - it has never been more important for people to feel safe, walking and cycling on our roads.
I have campaigned over the years for a reduction in Speed Limits. Villagers often ask the County Council to look at speeding traffic, which spoils their villages. They are constantly ignored by the County Council and this has to change.
The 20's Plenty campaign is a national campaign which helps local people persuade the County Council to lower speed limits and choose speed limits for their village.
