Lesley Rollings on the General Election: Time to kick the Conservatives out of Gainsborough
The Liberal Democrats topped the poll in the recent West Lindsey council elections and are the only party that can beat the Conservatives in this area at the General Election. Labour have declared Gainsborough a non-battleground seat.
The Liberal Democrats are on the up after beating the Conservatives at the May local elections and winning four stunning parliamentary by-election victories since the last General Election.
Liberal Democrat candidate Lesley Rollings will be campaigning for action to save our NHS, tackle the cost of living crisis, and end the sewage scandal.
Responding to Rishi Sunak calling a General Election, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for Gainsborough, Lesley Rollings, said:
“This election is a once-in-a-generation chance to kick the Conservatives out of power and finally deliver the change our area so desperately needs.
“It’s clear that only the Liberal Democrats can beat the Conservatives in Gainsborough constituency, it’s neck and neck here and every vote will count.
“People are telling me they’re fed up with years of chaos and neglect under this out-of-touch Conservative government. The scandal that has been the botched use of RAF Scampton to house asylum seekers is the tip of the iceberg of Conservative Government failure. I know from my meetings with Government ministers and taking the Home Office to the High Court – we need an MP who will stand up for Gainsborough.
“After years of struggling to get a GP appointment, soaring rents and mortgages and our rivers being polluted by filthy sewage, it’s time for a change in Lincolnshire.
“As the next MP for Gainsborough I will stand up for local health services, tackle the sewage scandal and be a strong voice for our community in Parliament.”
